~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The following was lovingly written by Bill's family...
William Lee Dillinger
was born in Zanesville, Ohio
on May 19, 1943.
He grew up in Lisbon, Ohio
and joined the Army in 1971.
He was stationed in Washington at Fort Lewis,
where he met his wife and started their
lives together.
His hobbies included fishing
and playing pool.
He loved his OU Sooners.
One time, he was fishing,
he had fallen asleep on the bank and lost the fish,
so every time after that when he'd go fishing,
his friends clipped a bell to the end of his pole
so that when he had a bite, it would wake him up.
He once was out fishing and
found out why you don't curse Mother Nature,
it rained so hard that Bird Creek flooded,
so he always said never curse Mother Nature.
He was a stern man, but gentle in his own way,
and boy was he a stubborn ol' bird
and had his way of how things should be done.
He loved his wife and kids, but
Loved his grandkids and great grandkids
a bit more.
He was a great friend to anyone he met,
and he will be missed tremendously
and loved beyond measure.
As him & his wife would say to each other every day,
"I love you today."
