Vernon David Nelson, 86, of Mannford, OK, went to be with the Lord, June 7, 2012 in Claremore, OK. He was born July 3, 1925 in Marlow, OK to parents, Frank & Beulah Nelson. Vernon was a retired building contractor & farmer and a WW II Navy Veteran.


Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth, and son, Gary.


He is survived by his wife, Ethel, of the home, mother of the children, Iduma Nelson of Claremore, OK, Children, Mark Nelson of Kellyville, OK., Debbie Hughes of Tulsa, OK. & Jim Nelson of Tulsa, OK. Brother, Terry & Pat Nelson of Hazana, Ark. Sisters, Jeannie Garrigus of Apache Junction, Arizona & Doris Higgs of Collinsville, OK. Six Grandchildren & Nine Great Grandchildren.


Services were held Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Mannford Full Gospel Church, Mannford, OK with Pastor Larry Schiller officiating.
