The following was lovingly written by Sharon's family...

Sharon McMahan Grant was born May 24, 1946 to Dwight and Elva Brooks McMahan. Sharon and her younger brother, Bob, grew up in Healdton, OK close to a loving extended family. She graduated from Healdton High School and soon after met the love of her life, Jerry Grant, at the Dairy Diner in town. Jerry and Sharon were married 56 years. They had two sons, Jerry Bob Grant and Michael Lynn Grant (Jenna) and one grandson, J.D. Sharon loved her whole family and had lifelong friends. Most importantly, she loved God and was a Christian believer.

Sharon and Jerry raised their family in the Oklahoma City area and moved to several other places with Jerry's job at Ford Motor Company, eventually living in Mannford, OK for the last 20 years. Through his work they traveled to resorts around the world. A family trip to Hawaii was one of her favorites. Sharon herself was a stay-at-home mom who later worked at a wallpaper store and in the billing department of Ford. In retirement, she helped Michael at his law office, took care of J.D. when he was little, and cared for Jerry Bob and Jerry.

She had a great sense of humor and an extensive knowledge of movies and movie stars. She was well read and knew everyone at the local library. She loved to tell family stories. Overall Sharon was a quiet, kind and gracious person. She was a class act.

Sharon was also a strong person who dealt gracefully with rheumatoid arthritis for decades. She was hospitalized for the last months of her life but never lost her sense of humor. During hospital visits when asked if she needed anything, she would say, "A new body!" Sharon passed peacefully on Christmas Day. She was predeceased by her parents and brother.
