at The Hilltop Country Church, 25309 John Wayne
in Morrison, Oklahoma.
At The Family's request, Sam was cremated
and his family will care for his cremains.

Sam Metcalf Obituary
Sampson Luellen Metcalf, Sam to family and friends, was born on May 9, 1940 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Cecil Sr and Bertha Metcalf. He went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers - Cecil Jr, Aubrey and Gordon. Sam is survived by his baby sister, Linda Sewell of Orlando, OK; two sons - Joey and wife Marsha of Mannford, OK; Cecil Paul of Stillwater, OK. Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren - Josh Metcalf and son, Tyson of Tulsa, OK; Ashley Campbell and husband Chad - children Collin and Jordan of Tulsa, OK; Jessica Tuttobene and husband Nick of Virginia - children Michael and Vincent; Joseph Metcalf of Pennsylvania; great-granddaughter Ellie.
Growing up Sam had a love for the outdoors and sports. His love for hunting and fishing continued through his adult life. There are an abundant number of stories!
In high school, Sam excelled in baseball. He was an amazing pitcher known for his no hitters!!! He made the front page of the local newspaper on numerous occasions.
In 1960, he married Lael Bradley and they had their two sons, Joey and Cecil Paul.
Sam served eight years in the Air Force National Guard. He worked for General Electric for over 30 years. He was a jet engine mechanic and moved into administration. During this time he worked abroad on occasion.
Sam will be missed terribly by his family, but they take comfort in knowing he is with Our Lord enjoying his forever after.
