Growing up Sam had a love for the outdoors and sports. His love for hunting and fishing continued through his adult life. There are an abundant number of stories!

In high school, Sam excelled in baseball. He was an amazing pitcher known for his no hitters!!! He made the front page of the local newspaper on numerous occasions.

In 1960, he married Lael Bradley and they had their two sons, Joey and Cecil Paul.

Sam served eight years in the Air Force National Guard. He worked for General Electric for over 30 years. He was a jet engine mechanic and moved into administration. During this time he worked abroad on occasion.

Sam will be missed terribly by his family, but they take comfort in knowing he is with Our Lord enjoying his forever after.
