The following was lovingly written by Ross' family...

Ross Newton Hayden from Mannford, OK died at the age of 48 on November 10, 2019 from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident in Sapulpa, OK.  Ross was born on November 8, 1971 in Norman OKlahoma. He grew up in Mannford and attended Mannford Public Schools from Kindergarten through 12th Grade; graduating in 1990.  After high school, Ross attended Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, KS and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK. He later obtained a certification in Heating and Air Conditioning Repair and was a Chief Engineer for
InterContinental Hotels Group in Denver, CO.  Ross recently moved back to Mannford and was currently an employee of Hargrove Manufacturing in Sand Springs, OK where he helped engineer and assemble gas log fireplaces.

Ross loved to talk about the good ol' days in high school when he played football for the Mannford Pirates as an offensive and defensive lineman.  During those years, Ross loved singing, playing football, fishing, and coon hunting. His talents provided him the opportunity to perform the musical Oklahoma! at multiple venues throughout the state.  He was later offered a singing scholarship at Cowley County Community College; eventually choosing to play football at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He also was a huge fan for the Oklahoma Sooners and loved following their success every season.  His passions included, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Ross prided himself on training coon dogs to hunt and enjoyed spending time treeing raccoons, teaching others about the sport, and talking to friends about their hunting successes.

He is survived by his daughter, Hanna Hayden of Denver, CO., his mother, Irene Hayden of Mannford, OK; father and step-mother, Jerry and Sharon Hayden of Broken Arrow, OK; sister, Monica and Russell Frick of Mannford, OK; sister, Emily and Chad Gehring of Springfield, MO; brother, Russell and Corin Hayden  of Atlanta, GA; and eleven nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 15th, at the Mannford Funeral Home Chapel, Troy Furr will officiate. There will be a private prayer at the graveside for the family following the service.
