"Richard Louis Lovelace" was born in Marshall, TX on March 10, 1939 to Doris (Bunner) and Wilfred Chester Lovelace. He and his brothers, whom he dearly loved, were raised in Cotton Valley, LA by his mother and stepfather Irvin Harvey, whom he loved and respected.
While working in Oklahoma with a telephone company construction crew, he met and then married Norma Jean Smith in 1960. To this union were born daughter Lisa Jean and son Jason Scott. Infant daughter Lisa was born and died on February 10, 1961. Norma passed away on January 28, 1987. Richard married Marilyn Jean Bateman Spradlin on April 8, 2000.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Norma, his daughter Lisa, and a brother Joe D., but he is survived by many loved ones:

Richard worked for Cimarron Telephone Company for 44 years and was a supervisor when he retired in 2007. His co-workers were truly family to him. He enjoyed golfing and the friends with whom he golfed.
Services were held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Lakeside Baptist Church in Mannford, Oklahoma.
Interment followed at White Dove Cemetery in Sparks, Oklahoma.
