Obituary

The following obituary was lovingly written & provided by Paul's family:

"Paul Thomas Clark" of Sand Springs,Oklahoma was born August 8, 1924 in Glasco, Kansas and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 22, 2012 at the age of 87. Paul grew up helping his family with their wheat farm near Minneapolis, Kansas and in later years enjoyed spending time tending his vegetable gardens and lawn.

Paul attended St. Joseph Military Academy in Hayes, KS. and Minneapolis High School in KS. Paul was good at sports; lettered in football and basketball. Paul served our country during WWII as an Army Scout 37th Infantry Division in Luzon, Philippine Islands until he was wounded in 1945 earning a purple heart. Married Wilma Weaver January 21, 1953 and had one daughter Sharon. Paul spent most of his working career as a insurance adjuster, retiring in 1989 from Mid Continent Casualty Co., Tulsa, OK. He enjoyed boating, fishing, square dancing, winters in Arizona, and volunteering with the Purple Heart Chapter 589.

Paul married Peggy Evans on January 2, 1993 and is survived by wife Peggy of Rye, CO, daughter Sharon and husband Glen Quimby of Sand Springs, OK., stepsons Kirt and wife Julie Evans and Erin Evans, sister Evelyn Doering of Minneapolis, KS. brother Charles Clark of Salinas, CA., 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Clark, and wife Wilma Clark. His love, strength and great moral character will live on in our hearts forever.

A Funeral Mass was held at 10:00AM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church, Mannford OK. under the direction of Mannford Funeral Home. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford. Memorial gifts may be given to the Alzheimer Association or local Blue Star Mother's chapter.
