Lula Bell Sowersby, 76, of Mannford, OK went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Mannford. She was born, December 5, 1935 to parents, Jesse & Pearl McGowan, in Jasper, Arkansas. She was married on December 19, 1953 to the love of her life, Joseph, in Tulsa, OK. She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters. Lula is survived by her husband, Joseph of the home, son, Joe Lee Sowersby of Mannford, OK, brother, Pete L. & Wanda McGowan of Afton, OK, grandchildren, Joseph & Samantha Sowersby of Mannford, OK, Michael C. Sowersby of Sand Springs, OK, sisters-n-law, Audra D. Sowersby of Tulsa, OK, Wanda & Doyle Austin of Pryor, OK, Mammie & Tom Blaylock of Okla. City, OK, and brother-n-law, James A.& Kathy Sowersby of Mannford, OK.

A graveside service was held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford, OK with Joel Hutchinson officiating, under the direction of Mannford Funeral Home.
