Justin Michael
Blumer
Aug 19, 1987 — May 17, 2018
Justin Michael Blumer, 30, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Mannford, Oklahoma on May 17, 2018.
Justin is survived by his parents, Kevin and Barbie Blumer of Holbrook, PA; brother Colton Blumer of Morgantown, WV; sister and brother-in-law Haley and Kory Bissett, and one nephew, Braxton Bissett of Holbrook, PA; his wife, Emily Blumer and her children Kobe, Karsyn, Kaden and Kooper of Tonkawa, OK; paternal grandmother Nina Blumer of Tulsa; maternal grandmother Patty Bell and grandfather Ken Bell of Holbrook, PA, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss his wit and smile.
Justin was born in Waynesburg, PA on August 19, 1987. He attended school in Mannford and Glenpool, OK, and graduated from West Greene High School in Waynesburg, PA in 2005. He received his BA in May 2009, and his Juris Doctorate in May 2013, both from Oklahoma City University.
Upon graduation, Justin started work for Sheehan Pipeline Construction Company, the 4 th generation to work there. His last employment was with Manhatten Construction Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
When Justin was 6 years old, his parents signed him up for grade school wrestling, where he excelled and won many tournament championships through his high school years. He spent countless hours traveling anywhere and everywhere around the United States with his mom to compete. He continued in the sport through his college years, attending OCU on a wrestling scholarship.
One of Justin's favorite pastimes was taking his Anatolian Shepherd Anna fishing, where he felt he was spending time with his Grandpa Blumer, who pre-deceased him. Justin loved coming home to Pennsylvania, especially to celebrate the holidays. He looked forward to attending annual Christmas Steelers games with his dad and brother; laughing and sharing stories of his childhood with his mom and sister; and spoiling is nephew as a proud uncle. Justin loved discussing politics with his grandmothers and anyone else who would listen "even if they didn't want to". Justin loved all sports and was an avid Penn State fan. Justin had a strong Christian faith, and spent many hours with his Bible in study.
A viewing and funeral services were held at Behm Funeral Home in Jefferson, Pennsylvania. There will be a Memorial Service held for family and friends in Oklahoma at a TBD date.
