John Anson was a man of many talents: Painter, sandblaster, oilfield worker & volunteer firefighter, but his most enjoyed labor was the years he spent as the Public Works Director of the Town of Mannford. He enjoyed the many employees/friends he worked with during that 20+ years. He retired in 2006 stayed off for about a year then decided he wanted to drive a trash truck before his 2 nd retirement.
He liked to watch Nascar, Wrestling, hunting shows also enjoyed camping, fishing, long road trips listening to music, going out to dinner with friends & family and playing the slot machines. He loved Moutain Dew & really liked sneaking sips to his grandkids when they were babies. He loved his truck, riding his motorcycle & mostly he loved his family! John's last words to everyone would be .... Love you later, Bye!
