Gwen Prince, of Sand Springs, Okla. passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on January 24, 2012.

Gwen, or Gwennie Mae, as Terrill, her husband of 63 years lovingly called her, was born in Sand Springs May 25, 1929.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Terrill Prince, her sister Helen, four daughters Cindy, Candy, Dixie, and Terri and their spouses, nine grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and many other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her granddaughter Debby.

Gwen was a friendly face in Sand Springs for 82 years, whether checking groceries, writing articles, and selling ads for the local paper or greeting you as the long-time owner of her antiques store in downtown.

Gwen was the matriarch of a huge, close family that she taught to love life, live it to the fullest and laugh through your tears. Gwen was dearly loved and will be missed.

A celebration of her life will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Mannford Funeral Home Chapel, Mannford, Okla. Private interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford.
