The following was lovingly written by David's family...
David Lee Anderson
January 10, 1949 – September 5, 2020
David Anderson started his working career in 1969 at a company by the name of Crane Carrier, where he started as a crane operator and quickly worked his way up to a finale mechanic. After eight years, he went back to school to learn how to be a manual machinist and quickly talked his way into a job at Oil Dynamics. He learned his trade well and after several years was hired away to a new company, Arrow Oil Tools. After several years, David asked God for time to finish the house he had started building fourteen years earlier. God answered his prayers and his company was bought by another company and they promptly moved the company to southern Texas. David took his severance pay and four months off work to finish the house. After having lived in the garage for fourteen years, the family was finally able to move into the "Big House"! David's next job was with a company named Jensen Mixers. Being a manual machinist there was not very challenging, so after five years, David moved on to a company by the name of Team Oil Tools. He worked there until he was hired away in 2006 by another company, D & L Oil Tools. David finally retired at the age of 70 on his birthday, January 10, 2019. David was always a dependable, hard worker, and a good provider. He had become a master machinist that was admired by his fellow workers.
While he spent fifty years in his working career, he was also a loving husband, a great daddy, an awesome poppy and a good friend to many. David built his own house from the bottom to the top. He had a working farm where he raised one son, cattle, goats, chickens and a few ducks. He bailed hay, sometimes till two in the morning, and then would get up and go to work at 5 am. David usually managed to grow a garden that had enough product to share with friends and family.
David was baptized into Christ on April 17, 1988 at Lakeview Christian Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, a Deacon, and then an Elder, but his favorite was as a Youth Leader! He was always kind, always dependable and always loved us well. David had the heart of a servant, he served his God, his church, his family, his friends, his animals and "His kids" whom he loved each one individually!
David later joined Church on the Move, where he served as a Greeter at door number three. He also worked in a ministry feeding homeless street people.
David was a worthy man!
