The following was lovingly written

 by Dan's family...

Daniel Dean Gibbs,

 lovingly known as Dan,

was born on May 6th, 1961,

 in Primghar, Iowa.

Dan spent his younger years in Iowa,

 eventually moving to Oklahoma.

Though Iowa always remained close to his heart

it was a special place he enjoyed visiting

 during family vacations.

Dan was a devoted son to Bertrum Gibbs Jr,

Sandra Walker and step father Gary Walker,

brother to Jeffrey Gibbs and Sheri Fitts,

a loving husband to Leslie Gibbs,

proud father to three children

Kimberly, Kelly, and Ryan,

 brother-in-law,

cousin to many,

and uncle to multiple nieces and nephews.

Dan married his wife of 33 years

on December 11th, 1992;

together they built a life filled with love, laughter,

and memories that will forever be treasured.

Dan had a deep love for the outdoors

and was happiest when he was fishing or hunting

whenever he had the chance.

Anyone who knew Dan knew his passion for NASCAR,

his admiration for Tony Stewart

and the Joe Gibbs Racing team.

His favorite place to be other than with family

was with friends in the mountains of Colorado or

the banks of Keystone dam.

For more than 36 years,

Dan dedicated himself to his work at Webco,

where he retired with the

 remarkable achievement of PERFECT attendance-

he took pride in all of his accomplished pranks

he pulled on all of his buddies there.

Dan treasured his friends deeply

 and treated them like family.

He loved everyone and everything in

 his own unique way,

leaving behind memories that will forever live

in the hearts of those who knew him.

One of the sayings his family often chanted was:

“Dan Dan the fisherman if he can’t do it no one can!”

Daniel Dean Gibbs will be deeply missed,

lovingly remembered,

and forever cherished by his family, friends,

and all whose lives he touched.
