The following was lovingly written by Dale's family...

Dale Lee Boyd of Sand Springs, Oklahoma ascended to his mansion in the sky Friday evening November 8, 2019 surrounded
by his closest friends and family and bathed in their love as he drew his final breaths.

Born in Claremore Oklahoma, on November 25, 1952, Dale grew up in Tulsa and attended McLain High School prior to serving in the Army during the Vietnam Era.

Dale first met his wife Judy at Washington Irving Beach on Keystone Lake in the spring of 1974. They were married on June 22, 1979 and had two children; Carrie in 1980, and Josh in 1982.

Dale worked an assortment of jobs including Auto Body repair, Ironworker, Pump Rebuilder, School Maintenance and Bus Driver, but by far his favorite job was being a parent and grandparent.

When they lost their home to the Tulsa flood of '84, Dale and Judy purchased a piece of land west of Sand Springs and built the home where they raised their children and have lived ever since.

Dale was always known as a funny and kind person, quick to stick up for anyone treated wrongly. He was generous to a fault and would give the shirt off his back in a snowstorm to anyone who needed it. Dale never met a stranger, only friends he didn't know yet, and he could not hold a grudge even if a grudge was warranted. Forgiveness was truly one of his gifts.

Dale loved to travel, and although times were often tight, he never failed to take his family on an annual vacation, even if it was just to Turner Falls. In his later years Dale loved to garden and cook what he had grown. He was well known for his feasts, and surely we will all miss his smoked venison, and the "Red Hot Glaze" smoked ham he prepared during the holidays.

Although Dale didn't play any instruments his passion and infectious enthusiasm for live music was a thread that was woven into the fabric of his life. He knew how to live life to the fullest, and if you ever spent much time around him you have probably heard him say:" I ain't never had too much fun!"

In the end, Dale truly understood that the quality of one's life is not measured by accumulation of material wealth, but by the depth and breadth of one's life experiences. By that measure Dale's life was truly rich beyond measure.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father Erma and Everett Boyd, his brother James Boyd, sister Anita Collins, her husband David and their son Michael.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, his brothers Jack and wife Madeline, Paul and Andrea, and Mike and Laura, his children Carrie and husband Willard and Josh and his wife Alicia, his nephews Matthew, Brady, Keith, Kenneth, Brian, Chris, Shad, and Jessee, his nieces Christal, Jamie, Misty, and Allison, and his grandchildren Noah, Emma, and Chance.
