The following was lovingly written by Clyde's family...

Clyde Wayne Green, born on May 19, 1941, in Mannford, OK, dedicated his life to community service, leaving a lasting impact through his extensive contributions to the fire department and police force. Beginning his service in 1961, Clyde joined the Cushing Fire Department while simultaneously serving as a police officer in the Cushing Police Department. In 1981, Clyde transitioned to the Payne County Sheriff Department, where he dedicated 33 years of his life as a deputy, finally retiring in 2014.

Beyond his service, Clyde was an accomplished musician, showcasing his musical talents as a guitarist under the nickname Jingles. His impressive musical resume included performances with artist such as Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Brenda Lee as well as having the opportunity to play on stage of the Grand Ole Opry. In his later years, Clyde devoted considerable time, often spending 4-5 nights a week, entertaining and bringing joy to senior citizen centers through his musical talent.

Aside from his musical endeavors, Clyde found joy in competing in police combat shooting and cowboy action shooting under the alias Fast Fingers Green, earning numerous awards and buckles for his exceptional skills.

Clyde, aka Jingles, aka Fast Fingers Green's diverse life reflects a profound commitment to service, music, and a passion for competition.
