At the family's request, Morris was cremated
and his cremains were buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery
in Meno, Oklahoma. The Graveside Service was held at 2:00 P.M.
on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

Clifford Morris Nelson II (Morris), 75, Mannford, OK, passed away January 11th, 2022. A memorial service will be held at the Mannford Funeral Home, 170 Phelps Avenue, Mannford Oklahoma, 74044 at 2 PM Friday January 14 th , 2022. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 2 miles West of Meno, Oklahoma on Highway 412 at 2 PM January 20 th , 2022.
Morris was born March 1st, 1946 in Chatom, Alabama to Clifford and Bertie (Smith) Nelson. Clifford, Bertie and Morris moved to the family farm in New England, North Dakota after Clifford's discharged from the U.S. Navy at the end of WWII. Morris attended the Strehlow Township country school for 8 years where he achieved a perfect attendance. He graduated high school at New England Public School, New England, North Dakota in the class of 1964.
After attending one year at Dickinson State College in Dickinson, North Dakota. He worked for Jack Mason, Mason Custom Combining during the wheat harvest in the late summer of 1965 and moved to Ringwood, Oklahoma. He worked For John Marlatt as a Parts Salesman at Marlatt Auto in Enid Oklahoma. He purchased a Snap-on Tool Franchise for the Northwest Oklahoma territory and was a very successful small business owner.
In 1975 Morris married LaVerna (Bower-Elder) and became a father to her son Richard (Curly) Elder. In 1979 Morris sold his Snap-on Tool Franchise and purchased the Mannford Auto Supply, a NAPA automotive supply store in Mannford, Oklahoma. After 32 years of successful operation, Morris sold the Mannford Auto Supply to Greg Hibarger and retired in 2011. Morris and LaVerna traveled extensively during their retirement but maintained the residence in Mannford.
Morris will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a caring brother, helpful neighbor, and 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge (Grand lodge of Oklahoma, A.F.&A.M.) He is survived by his wife LaVerna, and son Curly (Tammy) Elder, grandson Josh (Kristen) Elder and two great-grandchildren Isabella and Alexander Elder; his sister Linda (Alan) Butts, his brother Tom (Sandy) Nelson, two stepbrothers Pat (Delores) Kimbro and Mike Kimbro and step brother-in-law Paul St. Clair. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Bertie, stepsister Veronta St. Clair and grandson Kaleb Elder.
