Charles Lee Peal

Charles grew up in the small country town of Pierce, Ok. A small community outside of Checotah. He lived there and went to school until he was a young adult. He later moved to Sand Springs, Ok where he worked. In July 1957 he met his wife, Glenda and they were married on August 19, 1958.

Charles was a very special person. He always treated everybody the same. He often worried that someone might be hungry or cold; and he would take steps to see that they weren't. He loved his family well and took good care of them for over 62 years. Next to his family, what he loved most was getting a bunch of people together, cooking and eating. We used to have fish fries with 40 or 50 people there. You would always find him at the fryer cooking the fish and doing a lot of taste testing.

He also had a good sense of humor. Everyone who knew him knew you had to take him with a grain of salt. Often going out to eat with his family, you always knew that he would be joking with the waitstaff and giving them a hard time.

Everyone knows how he liked his old (and new) cars. And how he liked to work on them. He also liked his cattle and taking care of them.

Most of all, he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and always with a smile on his face.

Charles was a great man and will be missed by many.
