~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The following was lovingly written by Bettie's family...
Bettie was raised by her mother
and grandmother in Tulsa.
She graduated from Rogers High School in 1964.
She married Ken Shouse,
and they started their family in Tulsa.
The family lived in Tulsa until 1976 when they
bought land and a home and moved to Terlton, Ok.
Bettie was mainly a stay-at-home mom
working on raising three boys.
She did work from time to time when money got tight.
She worked as a seamstress in Hominy for a time.
She worked at the Mannford Christian School,
Mannford Pizza Hut, Baxter Pharmaceuticals,
and was a surveillance officer for the
Osage Nation Casino.
Bettie's passion was photography.
She had an exceptional eye,
and her photos showed off her artistic flair.
She started In His Image Photography
when Ken passed away.
She took pictures for weddings, sports photos,
and most remembered in the community for her
Mannford Senior high school pictures.
Bettie had a very close relationship
with Jesus Christ
and always encouraged others to follow him.
Those that knew Bettie knew she was
a shoulder to cry on,
an encourager, and an inspiration and
friend to many that she met.
She lived through many hardships in her life,
but her faith never wavered,
and she rarely complained.
She has gone home to be with
our Lord and Savior,
and I know she had a great reward
waiting for her.
