The following was lovingly written by Bethel's family...

Mom loved the outdoors and all that went with it.  The flowers, trees, birds and the bees! In fact, she loved anything that grew (including her grand-kiddos). She loved watering and mowing her beautiful lawn.  She would much rather mow then clean house!  However, if you sat too long in her living room YOU might have just gotten dusted, as she was an immaculate housekeeper too! Now as for her cooking…well let's just say we have all kinds of stories on that subject!

Another great love of mom's was Keystone Lake Appalachia Bay.  She loved taking the grandkids (or anyone who would go with her) for long walks and swims at the Bay.  As we were cleaning out the basement of her house a couple weeks ago, we found the two floaties that she bought for John to use at the Bay when he was only 6 months old!!  I guess when you keep something that long it really means a lot to you (some 43 years!!!).  It filled our hearts with such joy and knowing throughout her life she taught us what really matters in life.  Mom also gets all the credit for making John a Lake Rat forever as he knows nothing else!
