Obituary

"Barbara Jean (Barron) Litton" passed away peacefully at her home in Mannford, Okla. on Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was 87.
She was born on January 29, 1927 to William Arthur and Irma Virginia (Bacon) Barron in Perry, Okla. She graduated from Goltry High School in 1945. She began student nursing at the University Hospital before meeting her husband, Edward D. Litton. The couple married on September 14, 1946, in Oxford, Kan. after dating just 3 short months. They made their initial home in Enid, Okla. They moved several times before settling in Cushing, Okla. They moved to Mannford in 1968 and remained there until retirement. They then lived in Flint Ridge, Grove and Pryor before returning to Mannford once again. The couple enjoyed traveling in their RV, square dancing, playing bridge but most of all enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren.
Mr. Litton precedes her in death in 2009 also Mrs Litton is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda, both parents and two brothers, Billy Jack Barron and Charles Sid Barron.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Sandie) Litton, Tulsa, Okla and daughter, Sheila (Mark) McBroom, Cleveland, Okla. Five grandchildren: Linda (Glenn) Davis, Tulsa; Jennifer McBroom, Glenpool, Melissa (Cliff) Winn, Mannford; Blake (Missy) Litton, Broken Arrow and Skylar Litton, Tulsa. Five great grandchildren, Kelsey Clark, Bryson Litton, Bryleigh Litton, James Winn and Madelyn Winn. One brother, Waldo (Jo Ann) Barron, Tulsa. Two sisters: Patricia Hileman, Pawhuska and Jan Dely, Edmond along with numerous nieces and nephews. And we are not to forget her faithful companion, her dog Susie!!!
A visitation was held, Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Mannford Funeral Home, 170 Phelps Blvd, Mannford and funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, Mannford with David Rowley officiating. Burial services followed at Fairlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Cushing under the direction of Mannford Funeral Home. mannfordfuneralhome.com.
